We really thought the wood was in horrible shape and that we’d need to buy new wood, but once we got started we realized we had more than enough good wood to do what we wanted, and then some!

Something about the sulfuric acid that the onion released.Well, I didn’t have any white onion but I did have some green onion, so I just sliced the white parts of those up and a bit of the green too and put them in a container.. It’s an old sour cream container for the record.

The idea is that you want something airtight.I left the pit in the half of the avocado that I didn’t use just for good measure and placed it face down on top of the sliced onion so they’d have as much contact as possible.. Then I put the lid on, stuck the whole thing in the fridge, and waited until lunch time the next day.I was very hopeful since my lunch from the day before had been so delicious and I wanted to make it again!.

It actually worked!.It’s really no more brown than it would be from being out in the open air for 5 minutes!

I’m so excited to be able to have half an avocado for lunch now whenever I want!

It’s the little things in life, isn’t it?During the hot glue building stage, I just attached the end pieces to the long piece that I’d measured and cut for the front.

Covering them in fabric was just as easy. When I got to a corner, I just folded it in a way that looked nice and neat to me and tucked it in place with the tuck tool..

I couldn’t be more pleased with my new window coverings.I got to customize them and use the exact fabric I wanted and I got to do a fun DIY project too!.
